The Human Rights Club of Don Bosco School, Bandlaguda, Hyderabad, was established in 2022 with the aim to create awareness about human rights and to teach our students social responsibility. Around 50 students from Classes 6 to 8 are invited each year to join the Human Rights Club. Students have regular meetings where they discuss local and global issues and look at ways to create awareness as well as what are some of the actions that can be taken to address these problems.

DON BOSCO HUMAN RIGHTS CLUB

For the Academic Year 2023-2024, the Human Rights Club of Don chose UN SDG 4 Quality Education as their area of focus. Their concerns about the lack of quality education for the poor were transformed into action when the Human Rights Club members volunteered to teach the children of the migrant workers who are helping to build the new sections of Bosco Block. Our students made their lessons interactive by teaching the children action songs and poems which the migrant workers’ children thoroughly enjoyed.
