The elected students of our school embarked on their leadership journey on 24th July 2019 with an Investiture Ceremony. The programme commenced with a Guard of Honour to welcome the chief guest Rev Fr. Jerry Thomas, Principal of Bosco Institute, Assam. Our students recited the “The Lord’s Prayer”, also called the “Our Father” to seek God’s blessings. Thereafter, our Principal, Rev. Fr. Godugunooru Chinnappa, addressed the school with an inspirational welcome speech. The lighting of the lamp, symbolizing the spread of light, knowledge and wisdom, was led by the Chief Guest, Rev Fr. Jerry Thomas, Rev. Fr. Godugunooru Chinnappa, our Principal, Mr. Sudhakar, teacher representative, K. Lohitha Reddy, School Pupil Leader and Rahul Francis Sathiraju, Assistant School Pupil Leader.
“Leaders are not born, they are made”. The formal start of the Investiture Ceremony began with a march past led by the newly formed student council followed by the Guard of Honour and the school band. The student leaders were bestowed their badges by the Chief Guest, Rev Fr. Jerry Thomas, which was followed by the oath taking ceremony by the Student Council Members. Rev Fr. Jerry Thomas, addressed the school with a motivational activity for the student leaders and a speech, which will be long remembered.
The prestigious event was completed with the singing of the National Anthem, the patriotic musical composition that evokes and eulogizes the history, traditions, and struggles of our leaders and people.
